Animal Farm Questions Chapters 7-8

1. Why did the hens have to give up their eggs? They had to give up their eggs because Napoleon agreed to a contract that involved the hen's eggs.
2. How has Snowball's role changed by the end of chapter 6? Snowball role changed by the end of chapter 6 from friend and leader to traitor and enemy.
3. Why did Napoleon begin executing animals? Napoleon started to execute animals because they were traitors. He made some of the animals feel like they were traitors but they really weren't traitors.
4. Whom did Boxer blame for the executions? What was his solution? Boxer blamed himself and the other animals for the executions. His solution was to work harder.
5. Why were the animals sing Beast of England song slowly and mournfully as they were gathered on the knoll? The animals were singing the Beast of England slowly and mournfully because the revolution wasn't turning out the way they thought it would be.
6. Why was the singing of Beast of England banned? The singing of the beast of England was banned because Squealer said the revolution was over and that there was no need for it anymore.
7. In what ways has Napoleon set himself apart from the other animals? One way Napoleon set is self apart from the other animals is by sleeping in a bed.
8. How did Frederick cheat Napoleon? Frederick cheated Napoleon by giving him forged checks.
9. What moved the animals to attack Frederick and his men at the Battle of the Windmill? When Frederick's men blew the windmill up, that drove the animals to attack them.
10. Why was Comrade Napoleon "dying"? Napoleon was "dying" because he drunk too much whiskey and got alcohol poisoning.
