Animal Farm Questions Chapters 4-6

1. What was the Battle of the Cowshed? The battle of Cowshed was the battle between the animals and the farmers. The farmers wanted to take back the farm from the animals.
2. What was Snowball's role in the Battle of the Cowshed? Snowball played the leader in the battle of Cowshed.
3. Describe the relationship between Napoleon and Snowball. Napoleon and Snowball have a bad relationship. They always argue and could never agree on anything.
4. What topic divided the animals? Which pig was for and which was against? The topic that divided the animals was the windmill. Napoleon was against the windmill and Snowball was for the windmill.
5. How did Napoleon get rid of Snowball and gain full control of the animals? Napoleon got rid of Snowball by having vicious dogs chase him off of the farm.
6. What changes did Napoleon make first? The change that he made first was that there will be no more meetings and that the pigs will make all the important decisions on the farm.
7. How did Squealer justify Napoleon's take over to the others? Squealer justified Napoleon's take over to the others by telling them that Snowball was a traitor.
8. What two maxims did Boxer adopt? The two maxims that Boxer adopted were "I will work harder" and "comrade Napoleon is always right".
9. Why did Napoleon in fact change his mind and decide to have the animals build the windmill? Napoleon changed his mind because Snowball wasn't around anymore. He always did support the windmill but he didn't say.He went against it at first to force Snowball out.
10. For what purpose did Napoleon begin to trading? Napoleon started to trade for he can get supply for the farm.
11. Why did the pigs say they had to move into the house? They said they needed to move into the house because they needed a quiet place to work
12. Who did Napoleon blame for the windmill disaster? Why?Napoleon blamed Snowball for the windmill disaster. He blamed snowball because he wanted to make him look like a bad guy.

  1. Animal farm is about communism. Animal farm is a good book. Therefore, since animal farm is good, communism must be good as well.
